The "Graph - Profit / Loss per month" displays the Net Profit and Loss per month in a bar chart.

This graph only includes batch and document transactions which are posted. Unposted batches and documents will be NOT be included in this graph.

To view a list of unposted batches and documents, which is not updated to the ledger, go to Input → Checking unposted items (Default ribbon).

Graph - Profit / Loss per month options

To print a Graph - Profit / Loss per month report: 

  1. On the Reports ribbon, select User reports → Graphs → Graphs per month → Ledger. 

  1. Select the Period - Select a period on the Per period tab. You may click on the Free selection tab to select a specific date or a range of dates to include in the graph. 
  2. Click on the OK button.

An example of the "Graph - Profit / Loss per month", is as follows:

The net profit / loss should balance with the net profit / loss on the trial balance and income statement, if the same periods are selected.+

The details are as follows:

  1. Vertical Axis - Positive amounts are Income (sales, etc.) and negative amounts are expenses, etc. 
  2. Horizontal Axis - This is the Year and Month ("YYYYMM" format) in the calendar year. 
  3. Income / Expenses / Net Profit Loss - The figures for the selected period. Net Profit is a positive figure and Net Loss is a negative figure.
